We love our Cello Choir!

The ‘Cello Choir’ are members of the STCO who have been rehearsing and performing under the leadership of Anne John. They have performed at several venues over the last couple of months with their most recent ‘gig’ held at the Palais theatre in Franklin.

The following two pieces were part of their repertoire and will be performed for you at the concert:

‘Ragtime’ (anon) is a light hearted duet which features the syncopated rhythm typical of the piano ragtime style very popular in the early 1900’s.

‘Greek Dance’ (anon) is a traditional piece originally written for a guitar ensemble. This short piece also features interesting dynamic rhythms.

The following pieces will be performed by the full orchestra:

Concerto Grosso No.1 Op. 6 No.1 – Archangelo Corelli - Soloists: Kath Hogan (Violin) & Matthew Graves (Violin), Simon Allston (Cello)
