Musician's Open Night September 24th 2024

Come and Play with STCO

Date/Time

Tuesday 24th September @7:00pm

Location

The Polish Club

20 New Town Rd, New Town, Tasmania

Participants

String musicians of all levels

If you haven't had experience in an orchestra before, this is your opportunity. If you are a very experienced musician, this is a great time to share your skills and abilities. No amount of practice at home can give the full orchestra experience

Conductor

Kim Bishop. Kim has led the orchestra through the year, She brings enormous orchestral and training experience. Seeing and tuning the finer detail to improve an orchestras sound is her passion

Audience

People who want to sit in on the rehearsal are welcome. Under the guidance of our Conductor, we will be stopped at any time for adjustments to our playing. We will also be repeating sections until she is happy. As an audience member we will expect you will notice the improvements

Social Time

There will be an opportunity to talk after our rehearsal with tea/coffee and nibbles will be available

Tickets

Your registration for the event can be made https://events.humanitix.com/musicians-open-night The tickets are free but we are encouraging a donation. $15 would be good. You hopefully will get a strong urge to donate more for the future health of the orchestra. It will be your call

Music

When you book a ticket, we will know you are coming. You can also contact us by email events@stco.com.au There is also our Facebook Event page Facebook Open Night Event Once ticketed, we will give you access to the sheet music for your practice
