Kim Bishop - Conductor
Kim Bishop conducted us for Terms 3 and 4 in 2022 and will continue with us in 2023.
Kim is a widely respected Suzuki teacher of violin, and has her own studio in Hobart. She trained with Jan Sedivka in the glory days of string playing at the Tasmanian Conservatorium, and has a Master of Music from Southern Illinois University.
Kim has wide experience in conducting student, youth and community orchestras, and in teaching and conducting in residential string camps in Australia and overseas.
We are very much enjoying working with Kim, and we do have vacancies for more players who would like to experience Kim’s conducting and teaching whilst playing in our fun string orchestra!
